In order to easily identify the fiber during production process and the use of optical fiber cable, it has to color the optical fiber with various bright, smooth, stable and reliable colors, during the process, damage to the fiber has to be avoided.
Any 245 + 10um fiber can be colored and the ink is the main materials used in coloring, the basic composition of the ink is acrylic acid salt + light curing agent + pigment. The UV curable ink must be in sealed condition before using, and it must be stirred evenly (above 2h) according to the provisions speed and time, and shall check the color of the ink is correct or not, ensure the abnormal phenomenon of ink bubbles, impurities, delamination etc..
Equipment used in coloring includes optical fiber unrolling unit with belt tension adjustment function, electrostatic precipitator, coloring mold and mold fixing plate, pressure feeding system, UV curing furnace, traction, optical fiber rolling unit with gravity adjustment function, automatic rolling function and operation control cabinet.
The operation process is as follows: the optical fiber is released stably; the guide wheel and adjusting wheel is adjusted to the releasing tension at any time to adjust the tension of the fiber, so that the optical fiber can always be released under the constant tension and the whole process is stabilized. Before coloring, fiber need to remove static electricity and dust by electrostatic cleaner, and colored in the suitable mold, and then rapid solidification will be finished in UV curing furnace, then the colored fiber will be transmitted on appropriate speed via guide wheel, and it will be rolled to the drum after transmission. The take-up device automatically completes the take-up and the electrostatic eraser eliminates the static and dust on the surface of the colored fiber.
