The digital I/O module option 67 is found in a variety of different ordering breakdowns. For example, the B30 bus differential system is a cost-effective option to provide bus differential protection for up to six feeder systems. The B30 is able to meter voltage, current, and frequency. The variable digital outputs that are possible with the B30 bus differential relay are the trip rated Form-A Form-C, or Solid State Relay mechanical latching digital outputs. The SSR and Form-A options can also have current detection or circuit continuity monitoring. The function of the mechanical latch output is to replace a lockout relay by forming a secure interlocking application of the relay. With consideration of the B30 product feature description as specified and with consultation of the ordering codes in the B30 model number breakdown, one is able to predict which digital I/O module options may be contained in the universal B30 relay.
